About us
Distributed and Intelligence Optimization Research laboratory (DIOR Lab.) was initiated at the Electrical Engineering Department of Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) in 2012. With a group of experts, we are investigating Optimization in the context of Artificial Intelligence, Convex and Nonconvex Optimization, Distributed Optimization, Robust Optimization, Stochastic Programming, and Nonlinear Programming.
DIOR Lab. conducts academic and applied research on Optimization and Artificial Intelligence in two main areas: Energy Systems and Computational Neuroscience. In particular, our research on Energy Systems includes Energy Trading and Marketing, Power Distribution and Management, Resource Allocation, and Distributed Optimization in Microgrids. Moreover, in Computational Neuroscience, we are developing optimal models of the human visual pathway to better understand the human brain and visual cortex.
We welcome collaborations with research groups and labs from around the world to advance the studies in the field of Optimization.
